Core business hours for this role are Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Requirements
- Experience working with children aged to five and their families
- A state-issued driver’s license, an insured, reliable vehicle, and be able to drive to and from early care and education facilities
- A degree must be eligible for licensure through the AZ Board of Behavioral Health
- Preferred: Bilingual, Spanish and English preferred
- Knowledge of special education procedures and the special needs of young children with disabilities and their families
- Experience working with groups from a range of backgrounds and experiences
- Experience working in a home visiting program
- Experience working in a classroom setting or consulting with teachers
- Clinical experience working with children aged birth to five and their families
- One year(s): One year post-master experience
Qualifications
- Masters or better in Counseling or related field
- Licenses & Certifications Required: Auto Ins Certificate, Driver License, Fingerprint Card Level 1, FPC DPS Verification, DES Criminal Affidavit, CPR and First Aid Cert
Skills

Schedule
This is a primarily field-based position serving the White Mountain Apache Tribe area and surrounding communities. The Early Childhood Mental Health Consultant is expected to drive to and spend a significant portion of their time working on-site in the White Mountain Apache region at early care and education centers throughout the service area. When not conducting on-site visits, work will be completed remotely.
