Mental Health Clinician, Team 3 - Community Mental Health - St George MHS

About the role

The Mental Health Clinician will be based at Community Mental Health, St George Mental Health Service, Kirk Place, Kogarah. This role supports a positive work-life balance with flexible working arrangements, reduced hours, and the ability to shape the week around personal and family commitments.

Responsibilities

• Supporting the mental health assessment, treatment, and management of individuals with mental illnesses within a community setting.
• Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement care plans that are consumer focused and recovery-oriented.
• Providing person-centered care and maintaining open communication with clients and their families.
• Maintaining a manageable caseload and managing time effectively.
• Utilizing computer literacy skills to support clinical practice.

Requirements

• Qualifications in Social Work, Occupational Therapy, or Psychology, or Registered Nurse with current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia.
• Experience in mental health assessment, treatment, and management.
• A demonstrated commitment to a consumer-focused recovery-oriented approach and consumer collaboration in care planning.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Effective time management skills.
• Computer literacy skills.
• Current drivers license or willingness to travel according to the demands of the position.

Pay

$37.48 - $59.69 per hour, plus superannuation.

Schedule

20 hours per week.
