Mental Health Clinician
Description
Asa Mental Health Professional, you will work with adults aged 18 and older who have been discharged from lesser levels of care such as an adult family home or Assisted Living facility, and need additional behavior supports to maintain that placement. You will meet with the client and support systems to create a Safety and Crisis Plan and Individual Behavior Support Plan, and meet with the client weekly to focus and work toward their reported goals. You will engage family members and the residential staff, collaborating and educating them on ways to more successfully work with the clients. You will maintain ongoing evaluations, progress notes, plans, and meeting documentation to show client progress or behaviors to address.
Responsibilities
- Create and implement Safety and Crisis Plans and Individual Behavior Support Plans with clients.
- Meet with clients weekly to discuss and work towards their reported goals.
- Engage and educate family members and residential staff on effective strategies for working with clients.
- Maintain ongoing evaluations, progress notes, plans, and meeting documentation.
- Participate in after-hours phone crisis response approximately once every three months.
Requirements
- Master’s Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, or related field.
- 2 years’ direct treatment experience with clients with a mental health diagnosis, under the supervision of a mental health professional (supervised Internship/practicum hours contribute to this experience).
- Eligible as a Licensed Agency Affiliated Counselor through WA DOH (we can assist with submission).
- Licensed in Washington as a Social worker, Mental health counselor, or other Behavioral health provider or be licensed at an Associate level in one of these disciplines.
- An application as a Certified or Licensed Agency Affiliated Counselor is needed until the Associate license is secured.
- Licensed in Washington as a Behavior Analyst with accompanying Board Certification as a Behavior Analyst.
- Satisfactory results offingerprinting and background checks.
- Valid driver’s license, clean driving record, and auto insurance.

Qualifications
