About the role
The University of Manchester has over 16,000 students and staff participating in organised sport and physical activity. The University recognises the importance of an active lifestyle for wellbeing and experience. Delivery of the sport and physical activity strategy is through UoM Sport, based primarily at the Armitage Sports Centre in Fallowfield and the Manchester University Students’ Union on Oxford Road, with activities across city facilities.
Responsibilities
- Deliver quality coaching, management, organising, delivering, and monitoring performance for the University of Manchester’s Men’s Rugby Union Club.
- Increase the club’s performance in British Universities and Colleges Sport (BUCS).
- Lead the 1st & 2nd teams that compete at performance level in the UoM Sport Pathway.
- Oversee BUCS league games (October–March) and BUCS cup competition participation.
Pay
Salary: £7,000 – £9,400.
Schedule
Hours: 2 × 1.5‑hour training sessions per week (Monday 18:00–19:30; Friday 18:00–19:30) for the M1 & M2 teams.
