Responsibilities

• Oversee full implementation of resident and family engagement’s overall dementia care program.
• Directly provide coaching and leadership of associates who are caregivers within the community.
• Ensure Care Associates deliver person-centered programming, dining, and care.
• Collaborate with the leadership team to provide dementia training, preadmission/move-in/move-out processes for residents, hiring, and education of associates regarding dementia care, including how to lead programs and interventions for behavioral expression.
• Plan and directly coordinate a calendar of dementia-friendly programs that meet the specific needs of each and all residents within the dementia care community.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree such as gerontology, therapeutic recreation, or related field (preferred).
• Minimum of three years of management and direct supervision experience (preferred).
• Experience with residents with Alzheimer’s disease and other dementias in a residential setting (required).

To support associates in their journey to become a U.S. citizen, Brookdale offers to advance fees for naturalization (Form N-400) application costs, up to $725 (less applicable taxes and withholding), for qualified associates who have been with the company for at least a year.

Pay

Base pay in range will be determined by applicant’s skills and experience.

Temporary associates are not benefits eligible but may participate in the company’s 401(k) program.
