Memory Care Program Director

About the role

The Memory Care Director oversees the daily operations of the Memory Care Neighborhood, planning and implementing successful programming while ensuring the neighborhood meets Arbor standards for Memory Care. They lead the neighborhood alongside the clinical leader, providing competent and compassionate care, adequate dementia training, excellent employee retention, and alignment with Arbor standards for Programming, Dining, and the Environment.

Responsibilities

• Deliver competent and compassionate care to all residents alongside the clinical leader of the neighborhood
• Adequately train all staff in dementia care
• Ensure strong employee retention
• Align with Arbor standards for Programming, Dining, and the Environment
• Provide leadership, critical thinking, and analytical skills
• Communicate effectively and provide training and coaching on the latest approaches in care
• Foster a focus on customer service and resident/family relations

Requirements

• Preferred background: CDP experience, experience with programming in a Memory Care setting, experience caring for residents with dementia for at least one year, management experience preferred
