Memory Care Director
About the role
The Memory Care Director oversees the daily operations of the Memory Care Neighborhood, planning and implementing successful programming while ensuring the neighborhood meets Arbor standards for Memory Care. They lead the neighborhood alongside the clinical leader, providing competent and compassionate care, adequate dementia training for staff, excellent employee retention, and alignment with Arbor standards for Programming, Dining, and the Environment. Strong communication skills and the ability to provide training and coaching on the latest care approaches are essential.
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily operations of the Memory Care Neighborhood
- Plan and implement successful programming
- Ensure the neighborhood meets Arbor standards for Memory Care
- Provide competent and compassionate care to all residents
- Adequately train all staff in dementia care
- Ensure excellent employee retention
- Align with Arbor standards for Programming, Dining, and the Environment
- Use strong communication skills and provide training and coaching on the latest care approaches
Requirements
- Seasoned professional with experience and passion for caring for residents with dementia
- Experience caring for residents with dementia for at least one year
- Management experience preferred

- LPN or RN preferred
