Memory Care Caregiver
About the role
Solera Senior Living is seeking a Memory Care Caregiver to join the Modena Reserve at Kensington team. The position requires flexible schedules, including weekends, and is full-time and part-time available.
Responsibilities
- Aid residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as transferring, mobility, bathing, changing briefs, peri-care, toileting, oral hygiene, grooming, and dressing.
- Maintain cleanliness, comfort, and safety for residents through these tasks.
- Accompany residents to meals, activities, appointments, and other scheduled events, using appropriate equipment like walkers and wheelchairs.
- Monitor and document daily schedules and care provided, ensuring accurate shift summaries and effective communication among team members.
- Ensure residents’ physical and emotional needs are met, fostering a supportive environment.
Requirements
- Annual flu vaccination required (with consideration for medical or religious exemptions).
- Dependable and reliable with strong attendance and punctuality.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to make sound, independent decisions, especially in stressful situations.
- Compassionate, respectful, and professional behavior towards residents, families, team members, and the public.
- Genuine concern for the physical, emotional, and social well-being of older adults and their families.
Qualifications
- Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification.
- Experience in long-term care or related field preferred.
- Strong organizational and documentation skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
