Memory Care Aide - Part Time

About the role

Create a compassionate environment for residents with dementia by fostering empathy and building human connections during vulnerable moments.

Responsibilities

• Observe residents to understand their interests and abilities
• Develop and implement engagement strategies
• Set up physical spaces to enhance residents' daily experiences (mise en scène)
• Partner with residents to support their daily routines from waking to sleeping
• Document care and condition changes accurately
• Assist with orientation of team members in memory care settings

Requirements

• Age 18+ with a high school diploma or equivalent
• Ability to read, write, and communicate in English
• Possess basic computer skills
• Physical ability to stand, walk, bend, lift up to 50 pounds, and assist residents with mobility and falls
• Positive, energetic attitude with a love for residents
• Criminal background clearance
