Membership Specialist

About the role

At UFC GYM, you will engage in external and internal marketing activities, book membership appointments, ensure guest satisfaction, and maintain a clean facility. You will also be responsible for saving members from canceling their memberships and ensuring integrity in sales processes.

Responsibilities

• Engage in daily external marketing activities such as distributing passes and building relationships with local merchants.
• Collect leads internally through enrollment points and member base relationship building.
• Book membership appointments through productive phone activities and meet monthly appointment goals.
• Ensure appointments translate into enough guests and meet monthly guest goals.
• Present the “Fitness Tour” to guests, aiming to enroll half of those seen and half with personal training.
• Present membership options to non-members using the company-approved presentation, ensuring each new member meets a manager.
• Meet or exceed Personal Sales Room Financial goals each month.
• Manage NMS, POS PT, and EFT.
• Hold Sales Drivers accountable for meeting Key Metrics set by management.
• Ensure each sale is supported with appropriate documentation and signatures.
• Follow up with enrolled members to ensure satisfaction.
• Provide exceptional customer service.
• Maintain a clean and operational facility.
• Save members from canceling their memberships and coordinate with managers for cancellations.
• Work weekends and holidays, adhering to a scheduled schedule and following timekeeping rules.

Requirements

• In-depth knowledge of sales practices and techniques.
• General understanding of the Fitness Industry.
• Ability to work with computers.
• Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Independent, self-starter with strong organizational skills.
• Team player.
• High school degree or GED.
• Completion of company sales training and orientation program.
• 1-2 years sales experience preferred.

Schedule

Weekend and holiday availability is required. Requests for days off must be submitted in writing and exceptions can be made by the General Manager.

Uniform Policy

The Membership Specialist uniform includes a UFC Gym Black Polo, long dress slacks (black, blue, or khaki), or jeans (blue or black), in good condition with no rips or holes. Dress shoes or casual dress shoes must be worn in good condition. No athletic shoes, hoodies, sweatshirts, hats, or headwear are allowed.

Timekeeping

Membership Specialists must record time worked using the company check-in system. They must be in uniform and perform work activities when punched in. Lunch breaks must be taken within 5 hours of punching in, and working off the clock is not permitted. Missed punches must be corrected with an adjustment form.
