Membership Sales Specialist

About the role

AAA Club Alliance is hiring a full-time Retail Membership Sales Specialist for a dynamic retail environment. The role focuses on selling and processing new AAA memberships, maximizing upsell and cross-sell opportunities, driving engagement through in-store sales and outbound calls, welcoming new members, presenting promotions, documenting leads accurately, serving as the in-store expert for membership inquiries, and providing backup support for cashiering, tag and title, and IDEMIA services as needed.

Pay

Starting base compensation: $19.15 to $24.50 per hour, adjusted based on experience, geographic location, and other job-related factors as permitted by law. Eligible for incentive pay with an average payout of $162.00–$500.00 per month.

Schedule

Store hours: Monday–Friday 8:00 AM–6:00 PM, Saturday 8:00 AM–5:00 PM; 37.5-hour work week. No Sundays.

Responsibilities

• Sell and process new AAA memberships while maximizing opportunities to upsell and cross-sell upgrades and add-ons.
• Drive active engagement with the membership base through in-store sales, inquiries, and outbound calls.
• Effectively welcome new members, present promotions, and initiate discussions about upgrade opportunities.
• Ensure all leads and interactions are accurately documented, maintaining clear records for future reference.
• Serve as the go-to person in the store for all membership-related inquiries, providing expert guidance and support to customers.
• Serve as backup by assisting in the functions of Cashiering, Tag and Title, and IDEMIA services if applicable.

Requirements

• Minimum of three (3) years of sales and customer service experience, demonstrating ability to drive results and exceed expectations.
• Effective written and oral communication skills for engaging customers and articulating the value of AAA memberships.
• Proficiency navigating multiple websites and programs; strong computer skills for multitasking in a fast-paced retail environment.
• Notary Public designation or willingness to obtain within 6 months of employment.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Satisfactory pre-employment and post-employment screening results including criminal, drug, and state and/or vendor specific screenings; ability to obtain necessary Membership license (or others) as required to perform essential functions.
