Primary Responsibilities
- Adopts relationship-based sales philosophy focused on information discovery
- Prospects, lead generation, and building of referral business
- Sale of new memberships
- Mastery of all member opportunities within the club; connecting new members to areas of interest to set them up for success and long-term membership
- Works cohesively with a team of Sales Account Managers and a Membership Director to be successful individually and as a team
- Establishes a strong sales pipeline, meets sales objectives, and collaborates with a team to achieve the overall goals of the business
- Manages select events geared towards engaging the membership base and/or generating interest in and excitement around the club
- Serves as a visible and active goodwill ambassador with members and at select special events
- Delivers superior customer service with an aim towards member retention
Qualifications
- A natural connector — outgoing, warm, and genuinely curious about people
- Self-motivated with an entrepreneurial mindset; you don't wait to be told what to do
- Strong communicator, both in person and in writing
- Highly organized with excellent follow-through
- Passionate about fitness, health, and/or athletics
- Availability to work weekends and occasional evenings or holidays as needed
Compensation
$75,000 - $100,000 total compensation (base + commission)

About the Role
The Role As a Membership Consultant, you'll be the first point of contact for prospective members — guiding them through the Chelsea Piers experience, understanding what they're looking for, and connecting them with the membership that fits their life. Your success will be built on relationships, not pressure. You'll work alongside a supportive team of fellow Membership Consultants, a Membership Manager, and a General Manager who are invested in your growth and your results.
