About the Role
Processes member sign-ups, renewals, and added cards. Educates members and potential members about membership, warehouse, and credit programs. Assists members regarding item availability. Issues replacement and temporary cards, keys credit applications. Provides a high level of member service.
Responsibilities
- Processes new memberships and membership maintenance. Keys membership information into computer, keeps logs and paperwork, obtains supervisor approvals when necessary.
- Follows departmental procedures for paperwork and performance of duties, including all safety and security procedures.
- Verifies identity and business information for memberships.
- Welcomes and communicates with members and potential members in person, by phone, or by mail. Answers questions, resolves problems, and explains membership, warehouse, and credit programs.
- Reviews membership, warehouse, and credit programs to maintain up-to-date knowledge.
- Physically checks item availability in the warehouse, directs members to product and service locations. Assists with member loading or shopping and responds to member concerns, securing manager assistance as needed.
- Issues membership cards using computer, camera, and automated card printer. Issues temporary cards by researching membership information and handwriting cards. Issues employee name badges.
- Keys credit applications while adhering to credit card company practices for verifications, confidentiality, access, and discretion.
- Assists at the refund counter or with marketing as necessary. Places return items on shelves or leaves them in carts or on flatbeds.
- Cleans department, stocks forms, and maintains printers and supplies.
- Collects membership dues via check, cash, and debit/credit terminal. Issues receipts.
- Ensures proper cleanup and disposal of hazardous materials.
- Operates vehicles, equipment, or machinery as required.
- Assists with department duties and in other warehouse departments as necessary.
Requirements
