Member Solutions Counselor II

About the role

Rogue Credit Union is a member-owned, not-for-profit financial cooperative in the Rogue Valley, serving select Oregon, California, and Idaho counties. The role is within the Member Solutions Department and focuses on preserving assets by managing delinquent loan accounts.

Responsibilities

• Contacts members to initiate resolution of delinquent accounts.
• Takes appropriate action to bring accounts current, including negotiating payment arrangements, locating member-borrowers, and offering trusted financial guidance to members facing financial hardship.
• Prepares and places assets for repossession with appropriate agencies, ensuring strict adherence to guidelines for asset liquidation.
• Compiles and maintains a list of accounts for monthly charge-offs.
• Analyzes and informs management about trends in loan underwriting, contributing to delinquent/charged-off loans.
• Aids in training in areas of expertise.
• Prepares for and testifies at legal proceedings as required.
• Performs other duties as needed or assigned.

Requirements

• Experience: Three years to five years of similar or related experience.
• Education: A two-year college degree, specialized certification or licensing, specialized training courses, or an apprenticeship program.
• Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including diplomacy and tact in conflict resolution and relationship building.
• Physical Requirements: Ability to adjust or move objects up to 30 pounds, stand or sit for prolonged periods, perform tasks involving close and continuous visual acuity, and communicate effectively.

Schedule
