Member Services FT Staff

Essential Functions & Accountabilities

• Opening Shift: Properly check in all Members and their Guests. Greet each customer with a smile and a friendly greeting. Answering phone in a professional manner. Book court times, training appointments and group fitness classes both in person and on the phone.
• Customer Interaction: Be courteous and polite on the telephone as well as face to face contact. Maintain positive relations and rapport with members and guests. Direct guests to the appropriate staff member. Listen to guests inquiries and complaints and deal with them in a responsible and professional manner.
• Cleaning and Inventory: Assist in cleaning and straightening of the pro shop. Assist with inventory controls and the sale of merchandise. Understand and enforce all the rules, policies, and procedures at the Club. Complete opening and closing procedures.
• Smoothie and Beverage Preparation: Promote upcoming events and programs to members and guests. Make blended smoothies as well as prepare pre-assembled F&B items from our Club Partner. Pour wine, Beer, and Liquor, along with other beverages. Wash glassware and utensils after each use.
• Bar Service: Serve food to customers seated at the bar or in lounge veranda area. Clean up after customers and clean work area. Arrange bottles and glasses to make attractive displays.

Education/Experience

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
• One to three months related experience and/or training
• Equivalent combination of education and experience
• Previous Customer Service Experience
• Previous Point of Sale experience

• Talks or hears
• Regularly walks, sits, climbs, balances, stoops, kneels, crawls or crouches
• Regularly lifts up to 10 pounds and occasionally lifts up to 50 pounds
• Occasionally works in outdoor weather conditions
• Noise level is moderate

Job Knowledge, Skill, And Ability Preferences

• Ability to read and speak English may be required in order to perform the duties of the job
• Retail sales experience is preferred
• Computer proficiency including but not limited to POS, Microsoft Office applications, social media and other programs related to tennis such as tennisdirector.com or Club Automation
