Responsibilities
- Proactively support the branch team with exceptional member service, including eye contact, active lobby management, checking in with waiting members, and greeting members warmly while thanking them by name.
- Open new consumer and business accounts, including Fiduciary, IRAs, CDs, checking, and loans.
- Focus on retaining current loan and deposit business while developing new consumer and business relationships.
- Listen, identify, process, and recommend solutions to meet members' needs.
- Take initiative to utilize all available resources to ensure members are assisted completely.
- Perform account and loan maintenance, assist with submitting necessary documentation, and support transactions.
- Conduct outbound calling to members to further develop and/or retain lending and deposit relationships.
- Act as a liaison between members and off-site employees/departments to resolve issues, assist with courtesy signings, and complete required forms.
- Listen for clues and identify cross-sell opportunities, referring to appropriate staff members as needed.
- Maintain cash drawer and balance within Credit Union guidelines.
- Perform additional duties as required by the Branch Management Team for overall branch operations.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of previous financial institution experience.
- Retail sales or customer service position involving cash handling experience preferred.
- Bilingual skills are a plus.
- Ability to successfully register with the National Mortgage Licensing System (NMLS).
Skills
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience with financial and lending operating systems.
- Exceptional member service and strong interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and individually to meet and exceed set goals.
- Ability to coordinate and complete a variety of assignments simultaneously and prioritize work.
- Self-directed with the ability to work under limited direct supervision.
Pay
Starting pay: $25.00 per hour.
Schedule
Hours of operation: Monday - Thursday 9 AM - 5:30 PM, Fridays 9 AM - 6 PM, Saturdays 9 AM - 1 PM.
