Member Service Representative - Geauga YMCA

About the role

The Member Service Representative plays a crucial role in promoting member satisfaction, sales, and retention at the Greater Cleveland YMCA. This position focuses on providing excellent customer service, managing member interactions, and supporting the YMCA's mission.

Responsibilities

• Conduct phone and in-person interactions with members and staff
• Process payments and maintain cash drawer balance
• Use DAXKO system for data entry, maintenance, and reporting
• Maintain accurate records of new members, renewals, program participants, and guests
• Ensure cleanliness and professionalism of the front desk and lobby areas
• Attend required trainings and staff meetings
• Greet members and visitors according to YMCA guidelines
• Track equipment loaned to members and visitors
• Conduct member and program participant surveys as needed
• Promote and support membership sales
• Provide tours to prospective members
• Maintain a working knowledge of current programming, events, memberships, scholarships, fundraisers, pricing, and other association events
• Answer telephones, respond to inquiries, and forward messages
• Follow YMCA access control guidelines
• Participate in and support association events and fundraising activities
• Secure required trainings and certifications

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred
• Minimum two years high school and 16 years old
• Cash management experience
• Computer and keyboarding experience
• CPR and First Aid certification and Safety training required within 30 days of hire

Physical Demands

• Frequent sitting, standing, and walking
• Occasional lifting up to 50 pounds
