Compensation range: $21.00–$22.00 per hour. The actual salary offered within the range is dependent on factors including relevant experience, qualifications, skills, level offered, and performance expectations.
About the role
We are seeking a Member Service Representative to deliver the financial needs of members professionally, efficiently, and confidentially. Serving as a representative of the credit union, you will uphold the highest standards of professionalism, focusing on creating a positive member-centric experience.
Responsibilities
- Actively promote all AFCU products and services while exceeding defined sales goals.
- Maintain a friendly, approachable, and professional attitude in servicing members according to credit union expectations; businesslike appearance.
- Maintain current knowledge of all credit union policies, products, procedures, and related services, and advise members on those that best meet their needs.
- Open and accurately service members with accounts and general services.
- Maintain expertise and accuracy in processing various aspects of loan products and services, from application to disbursement and post-closing servicing, including assisting members with applications, repayment terms, credit reporting, and related analyses.
- Accurately process routine transactions and loan applications in person, by phone, and by mail.
- Assist other areas of the branch to maintain service levels and operations (e.g., act as teller).
- Understand and assist with general branch operations, including:
- Ability to open/close branch.
- Audit assistance.
- Participation in SEG and other sales activities to generate business.
- Attend in-house and assigned training as directed.
- Possess or obtain Notary commission within six months of employment.
- Work independently in the absence of management for short periods of time.
- Achieve sales and other personal goals to help the branch meet related goals; actively participate in the coaching process.
- Support all aspects of branch sales, operations, and servicing in the absence of management.
- In a SEG branch, assume greater responsibility, including assisting management in maintaining defined audit, cash handling, and cash ordering procedures.
- Order supplies from in-house and outside vendors.
- Assist in other branch operational duties and operate independently in the absence of the Branch Manager.
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned (e.g., supplies).
