Technical Challenges

• Database of Humanity: Maintains a database of millions of people, matching profiles based on voice, face, and device IDs.
• Emotional Intelligence: Reads tone, hesitation, and facial micro-expressions to understand what people truly think.
• Preference Model: Continuously updates the preference model to reflect changing human preferences.
• Human API: Embeds the preference model into tools like Slack, Linear, and IDEs for direct access to human preferences.
• Agent Evals: Evaluates qualitative outputs from AI-generated reports to improve decision-making.

What We Look For

• Solve problems end-to-end, owning parts of the product and making decisions across the LLM pipeline, infrastructure, backend, and UX.
• Scope your own work, think about customers, and own decisions.
• Care about getting things right, moving fast, and addressing issues at their root cause.
• Push LLMs to their limits, working directly with frontier model labs and constantly probing where they break.
• Communicate complex ideas in writing, working independently with weekly meetings to discuss tradeoffs, problems, and decisions.
• Be highly technical, starting to code as a teenager and being passionate about language design and compilers.
