Member of Technical Staff, Infrastructure Security

Responsibilities

• Build and operate the security foundations that protect Parallel’s production infrastructure, internal systems, and access to both.
• Own authentication, authorization, and access controls for people, services, and AI agents.
• Harden production environments and enforce security controls from source code through running workloads.
• Work across identity and access, cloud and Kubernetes security, software‑supply‑chain integrity, logging and detection, endpoint security, and recovery.
• Design secure defaults that engineers inherit rather than configure.
• Create systems that make access, changes, and recovery measurable and auditable.
• Define how AI coding agents operate inside Parallel’s infrastructure, including access limits, privileges, and logging of their actions.

Qualifications

• Significant experience building or operating infrastructure or security systems in production cloud environments.
• Deep expertise in at least one of: identity & authorization, cloud & Kubernetes security, or logging & detection platforms.
• Strong fundamentals in cloud networking, secrets management, and workload isolation.
• Experience building secure deployment pipelines (artifact provenance, immutability, secret scanning, software‑supply‑chain controls).
• Proficiency in production coding and automation with Terraform, Python, Go, or similar tools.
• Track record of shipping security controls across an engineering organization and making practical trade‑offs for adoption.
• Experience with endpoint security, device trust, recovery planning, SOC 2, customer audits, or contractual security requirements (a plus).
• Experience securing AI or agentic systems (a plus).

Compensation range: $150 K – $300 K
