The Member Experience Representative position exists to serve our members in Tuscaloosa and Northport, Alabama. This is a front-line, customer service position.

Duties

  • Engage members by onboarding them with Alabama Credit Union by opening new accounts and providing a relationship-building experience;
  • Aid members with loan requests and assist with their financial transactions, including conducting deposits and withdrawals, posting credit card payments and balance transfers, receiving debit card and check orders, etc.;
  • Provide information about products and services to members to meet their financial needs.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent;
  • Customer service skills;
  • Cash handling skills;
  • Good computer skills (including the ability to use Microsoft Office products and web-based applications);
  • The ability to follow lengthy procedures for account opening;
  • The ability to describe and sell products and services to members;
  • The ability to change focus efficiently in a fast-paced environment;
  • A desire to help others in your community.

Other Preferred Qualifications

  • One to three years of similar or related experience;
  • Bilingual (Spanish) is a plus.

Physical Requirements

  • During the course of a normal workday, incumbents will sit, stand, walk, see, hear, reach, use gross and fine motor coordination for activities such as using standard office machines, using paper (to include counting cash, sorting and filling paper items, scanning, etc.), and occasionally lift and carry incidental items such as supplies.
