Member Engagement Specialist - Personal Banker

Responsibilities

• Aid and instruct members on credit union products and services tailored to their financial needs (e.g., loan products, online and mobile services)
• Manage member accounts professionally and securely: open, close, and oversee transactions (e.g., deposits, withdrawals, transfers, and payments)
• Investigate and address account and service issues promptly
• Support referrals to in-branch financial experts as needed (e.g., First Mortgage and Financial advisors)
• Comply with Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) policies and procedures relevant to this role
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a personal banker or credit union equivalent; sales and customer service experience is a plus
• Knowledge of personal banking practices and regulations
• Familiarity with banking software; proficient use of MS Office
• Strong work ethic and ability to work independently to meet goals with high attention to detail, accuracy, and thoroughness, with minimal supervision
• Exceptional communication skills and a member-oriented approach to problem-solving with a positive attitude
• High School diploma required; Associates or Bachelor degree preferred; 2+ years prior credit union or banking experience preferred
