As a Member Associate (MA) at Hawaii State Federal Credit Union, you will be our members' first point of contact, playing a vital role in creating positive experiences, building trusted relationships, and supporting members with their everyday banking needs. This role provides opportunities to develop skills and expertise in financial services, relationship-building, and problem-solving, serving as a key first step toward a rewarding career with HSFCU.

Responsibilities

  • Create exceptional member experiences by delivering friendly, personalized, and efficient service in every interaction.
  • Educate and guide members on digital banking capabilities, including online banking, mobile banking, digital payments, and self-service solutions.
  • Build strong relationships by understanding member needs and providing thoughtful solutions and support.
  • Process transactions accurately while maintaining high standards of operational excellence, security, and cash handling integrity.
  • Proactively identify opportunities to introduce products, services, and resources that improve convenience, engagement, and financial well-being.
  • Support branch goals by contributing to a collaborative, high-performing team environment.

Requirements

  • Professional appearance, dress, and attitude.
  • Good math and touch-typing skills.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to operate related computer applications and business equipment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Related customer service experience.
  • Basic understanding of credit union operations.
  • Basic understanding of member services and products provided.

Pay

Base Annual Salary Range: $39,300 ($18.89/hour) - $48,510 ($23.32/hour). The posted range reflects the anticipated base pay for this position, with final compensation determined based on experience, skills, and internal equity.
