Member Account Representative I

About the role

The Member Account Representative I plays a vital role on a high-performance, member-focused team in a fast-paced call center environment. This position is the frontline connection between Trico and its members, delivering outstanding service by handling account openings and closures, answering member questions, and providing accurate account information. With a strong focus on relationship-building and attention to detail, this role helps ensure member satisfaction while maintaining accurate and up-to-date member accounts.

Responsibilities

• Handle account openings and closures for members
• Answer member questions and provide accurate account information
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date member accounts
• Communicate with members via phone, live chat, and/or email
• Explain bill calculations, monthly usage, and seasonal differences
• Multitask and prioritize while maintaining a pleasant and calm demeanor with members
• Work with minimal supervision and irregular and/or overtime hours as required

Requirements

• High school degree or equivalent
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in customer service, billing collection, sales, and data entry
• Experience in a service-oriented organization (preferred)
• Experience with MS Office applications, such as Word and Excel
• Ability to operate a 10-key calculator by touch and strong math skills
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Previous experience in an Electric Utility or Cooperative call center (preferred)
