About the role
Nucor Steel Kingman, LLC is seeking a Melt Shop Shift Supervisor to provide leadership, direction, and support to the Melt Shop team. This role involves selecting, teaching, training, and leading a team in all aspects of steel production while collaborating with peers to develop consistent guidelines for the Nucor Kingman team. Responsibilities include managing day-to-day operations, costs, projects, process improvements, and leading divisional initiatives. Safety is the top priority, and candidates must demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.
Responsibilities
- Lead, direct, and support the Melt Shop team to meet department and division goals.
- Select, teach, train, and lead a team in all aspects of steel production.
- Work closely with peers within the leadership team to develop consistent guidelines for the Nucor Kingman team.
- Manage day-to-day operations, costs, projects, and process improvements.
- Engage in and lead divisional initiatives.
- Initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of leadership experience.

Preferences
- Four-year technical degree or equivalent experience.
- 2 years of Melt Shop operational experience.
