MedTech Part Time Clinical Consultant – Wilmington, NC

Responsibilities

• Acquire and demonstrate working knowledge of products/therapies and their applications.
• Deliver ventricular medical device education in settings such as the ICU, OR, and Cath Lab to improve patient outcomes.
• Provide ventricular medical device case support, including on-call support.
• Complete proactive rounds for patients receiving support and offer assistance.
• Collaborate with the Clinical Support Center (CSC) for ongoing additional support.
• Maintain clinical competency in the current product line, patient management, and stay updated through continual learning.
• Some travel may be required.

Requirements

• Registered Nurse (RN) or Advanced Practice Provider (APP) license strongly preferred; Perfusionists and cardiovascular specialists are also preferred.
• 3+ years’ experience with a strong clinical background in Cardiac ICU (CICU), Cardiovascular ICU (CVICU), Cardiovascular OR (CVOR), or Catheterization Lab (Cath Lab); CVICU experience highly preferred.
• Some industry experience preferred but not required.
• Significant experience with ventricular medical devices (minimum of 10 cases/patients supported).
• Must provide a minimum of 2 days of live support (case support, patient rounding, education) per month, with a total of 5 days of availability.
• Availability must include 1 weekend per month.
• Ability to work weekends, nights, holidays, and weekdays.
• Ability to work at hospitals other than the base location.
• Ability to clear hospital vendor credentialing requirements.
• Up-to-date immunizations may be required.

Pay

The potential base pay range for this role is $60.00 per hour. The actual base pay offered may vary based on job-related qualifications such as knowledge, skills, education, experience, location, and schedule. Incentive plans, bonuses, or other forms of compensation may also be offered, along with health, welfare, and other benefits.
