About the role
In this role, you will collaborate with healthcare professionals, traveling to hospitals to perform software upgrades for automated medication dispensing devices.
Responsibilities
- Perform installation, configuration, and updates for medical devices, software, and networking systems.
- Conduct routine checks to verify proper functionality after setup.
- Troubleshoot device and network issues, resolving technical problems independently or escalating complex cases.
- Follow calibration protocols for servicing equipment.
- Educate healthcare staff on device utilization and software functionality.
- Maintain compliance with hospital vendor credentialing requirements.
Requirements
- Ability to travel extensively for field-based service assignments.
- Associate degree in biomedical, IT, electronics, or a related field preferred.
- 1+ year of technical experience required; 3+ years in a field technician role preferred.
- Experience in IT support, electronics, biomedical engineering, or pharmacy technology is a plus.
- Must maintain personal parts inventory, sourcing from approved vendors.
- Must meet hospital vaccine and credentialing requirements, including immunizations for Measles, Mumps & Rubella, Varicella, Tuberculosis (negative test), Tdap, Hepatitis B, Influenza (seasonal), and COVID-19 primary series (some facilities require booster(s)).
This role is not eligible for visa sponsorship. Candidates must have authorization to work in the US without the need for sponsorship.
Schedule
- Assignment-based position requiring open availability Monday–Friday.
- Work occurs 28–32 hours per week, plus travel time.
- Position requires some nights and weekends based on customer needs.
- Travel is regional, national, and local, with work scheduled primarily during weekdays.
Pay
The potential base pay range for this role is $30–32 per hour. The actual base pay offered may vary based on job-related qualifications such as knowledge, skills, education, experience, location, and schedule.
