About the role
This position plays a critical role in maintaining and repairing commercial fleet vehicles and specialty equipment while demonstrating our core values of respect, integrity, growth, humility, and teamwork.
Responsibilities
- Perform maintenance and repairs on fleet vehicles including cab & chassis trucks and specialty upfit equipment
- Diagnose and repair hydraulic systems, lift gates, cranes, hoists, and related components
- Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems including lighting, control modules, PTO wiring, and auxiliary systems
- Conduct preventative maintenance services on commercial fleet vehicles
- Complete multi-point inspections and document findings accurately
- Communicate repair needs and timelines clearly with service advisors and supervisors
- Ensure all repairs meet company, state, federal, and manufacturer safety standards
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
- Assist with installation and service of truck-mounted equipment as needed
- Support team members and help train less experienced technicians when appropriate
Requirements
- 3+ years of fleet, medium/heavy-duty truck, or commercial equipment repair experience preferred
- CDL highly preferred
- Self-managed, self-starter and problem solver
- Experience with cab & fleet repair, service bodies, and vocational truck systems
- Familiarity with hydraulic systems, lift gates, cranes, hoists, and PTO systems
- Working knowledge of electrical diagnostics, wiring, and auxiliary equipment installation
- Basic welding and fabrication skills preferred
- Ability to read and interpret schematics, repair manuals, and service bulletins
- Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to safely operate shop equipment and power tools
- Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs
- Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record
- Must be 18 years or older and authorized to work in the U.S.
- High School Diploma or equivalent
