Medium Duty Automotive Technician

About the role

Sunset Ford is seeking experienced Automotive Truck Technicians, Diesel Technicians, Motorhome, or RV Technicians to join our team. We offer a clean shop with new tools and lifts, competitive pay, and benefits including week off weekends, paid training, employee discounts, and referral bonuses.

Responsibilities

• Performs work specified on the repair order with efficiency and in accordance with dealership standards
• Inspects vehicle for safety and maintenance needs such as worn brakes or tires
• Tests components and systems using diagnostic tools and special service equipment
• Diagnoses, maintains, and repairs vehicle automotive systems including engine, transmission, electrical steering, suspension, brakes, air conditioning
• Executes repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications
• Obtains certifications and training expectations from Ford Motor Company
• Provides detailed documentation on repair order to claim warranty properly from Ford

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Service Technician
• Understanding of and ability to repair large trucks and diesel powertrain
• Strong mechanical aptitude
• Knowledge in all aspects of automotive repair and maintenance
• Ability to learn quickly and provide top-notch customer service
• Basic Computer Skills
• Great teammate
• Maintains stall in an orderly and clean manner
• Ability to learn new technology, repair, and service procedures and specifications
