Medicine - Infectious Disease (Instructor)

Job Duties

• Design and conduct research related to Infectious Diseases in the laboratory of a senior investigator in the Section.
• Activities will include working with a senior faculty member to design rigorous laboratory experiments focused on HIV or other viral pathogens;
• Procure materials needed to conduct the research;
• Directly perform experiments;
• Conduct preliminary data analysis;
• Prepare manuscripts reporting the research;
• Submit grants to NIH and other funders to advance the research agenda.

Minimum Qualifications

• PhD in relevant field.
• At least three years of post-doctoral research experience in a related field
• NIH grant award to conduct the research as PI (e.g., K grant or independent R grant)
