Responsibilities

  • Aid residents with daily medications, treatments, and resident care as assigned.
  • Notify Supervisor if prescribed medication is not administered according to directions and document the reason(s).
  • Maintain clear, accurate, complete, and confidential records on resident medication and care.
  • Track all orders for medication changes and/or refills, notify the pharmacy, and report any missing medications.
  • Assist caregivers in their duties and document incident reports.
  • Respond promptly to emergencies and resident alerts or requests.
  • Maintain a safe and secure environment.
  • Comply with federal, state, and local regulations and company policies.
  • Lead with a spirit of teamwork and open communication.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent (GED), required.
  • Certification or education as required by state regulations.
  • Valid CPR & First Aid certification.
  • 1+ years of prior related work experience in a similar healthcare role, within a similar industry/work environment.
  • 1+ years of experience handling medications preferred.

  • Willingness and ability to effectively manage and respond to resident behaviors.
  • Comfortable with technology for documentation.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to make sound, independent decisions.
  • Positive and professional image.
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and time management skills.
  • Ability to move throughout the workday, in the community, and between neighborhoods.
  • Ability to assist in the physical movement of residents.

Skills

Effective management of resident behaviors, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently are key skills for this role.

Pay

Salary is determined based on experience and qualifications, with a DOE (Depending On Experience) wage structure.
