What You'll Do As Medication Technician Administer medications accurately and in compliance with state regulations and community policiesEnsure care and services are provided in a safe, secure, and respectful environment for all residentsVerify weekly that self-administering residents are taking medications correctly and as prescribedReview medication error reports, document appropriately, and obtain required staff signaturesPerform monthly audits of medication administration records and confirm resident understanding of self-medication when applicableFollow individualized care or service plans to support each resident’s health and wellnessReport discrepancies or concerns in care plans to the charge nurse or supervisor promptlyProvide basic assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs), including grooming, hygiene, mobility, and mealsMaintain accurate documentation in accordance with community procedures and state/federal regulationsPromote a positive, home-like environment by treating residents with dignity, kindness, and respect What We're Looking For High school diploma or GED Some experience as a Medication technicianIntermediate computer skills What We Prefer CPR certification One year experience working as a Med Tech, Nursing Assistant or Certified Nursing Assistant in a long-term care setting Medication Administration Training is preferred.
