Medication Technician (FT/PT 1st, 2nd, 3rd SHIFT)
About the role
TerraBella Senior Living is seeking a Care/Medication Technician to join the team at Summit Place at South Park. This role provides hands-on care, supports residents, and maintains a safe environment.
Responsibilities
- Care Giver:
- Responsible for a designated group of residents during the shift.
- Observes, reports, and documents symptoms and conditions of residents.
- Notifies supervisor and/or Health Care Coordinator if a resident has increased care needs.
- Serves and collects food trays and assists as needed.
- Maintains cleanliness of resident’s room and work areas.
- Engages residents in activities of daily living and life enrichment activities.
- Greets and assists all internal and external customers.
- Medication Tech:
- Reviews service plan to learn pertinent information about residents.
- Aids in administering medications and treatments.
- Documents and initials form as medications are given.
- Maintains confidentiality of all resident information.
- Reports all resident concerns made while assisting with medication.
- Restocks medication cart after all medication passes.
- Counts all narcotics with another Medication Care Manager or Nurse each shift.
- Maintains and cleans the Medication Room, med charts, treatment carts.
- Follows re-fill process for medications.
- Takes and records vital signs.
Qualifications
- Preferred: Certified Nurse’s Aid certification.
- High School diploma/GED.
- Must be 18 years of age.
- CPR Certification preferred.
- First Aid Certification preferred.
- Previous experience working with seniors preferred.
