Medication Technician (FT/PT 1st, 2nd, 3rd SHIFT)

About the role

TerraBella Senior Living is seeking a Care/Medication Technician to join the team at Summit Place at South Park. This role provides hands-on care, supports residents, and maintains a safe environment.

Responsibilities

  • Care Giver:
    • Responsible for a designated group of residents during the shift.
    • Observes, reports, and documents symptoms and conditions of residents.
    • Notifies supervisor and/or Health Care Coordinator if a resident has increased care needs.
    • Serves and collects food trays and assists as needed.
    • Maintains cleanliness of resident’s room and work areas.
    • Engages residents in activities of daily living and life enrichment activities.
    • Greets and assists all internal and external customers.
  • Medication Tech:
    • Reviews service plan to learn pertinent information about residents.
    • Aids in administering medications and treatments.
    • Documents and initials form as medications are given.
    • Maintains confidentiality of all resident information.
    • Reports all resident concerns made while assisting with medication.
    • Restocks medication cart after all medication passes.
    • Counts all narcotics with another Medication Care Manager or Nurse each shift.
    • Maintains and cleans the Medication Room, med charts, treatment carts.
    • Follows re-fill process for medications.
    • Takes and records vital signs.

Qualifications

  • Preferred: Certified Nurse’s Aid certification.
  • High School diploma/GED.
  • Must be 18 years of age.
  • CPR Certification preferred.
  • First Aid Certification preferred.
  • Previous experience working with seniors preferred.
