Medication Technician-FT

The Springs at Clackamas Woods is hiring Medication Technicians who bring compassion, patience, and heart to their work. You’ll have the opportunity to build meaningful relationships with residents while working alongside a supportive team that values integrity, respect, and connection.

Responsibilities

• Administer prescribed medications and treatments accurately and on schedule
• Monitor, document, and report changes in residents’ health or behavior
• Perform delegated tasks such as blood sugar testing or insulin administration (as assigned)
• Maintain proper storage and management of medications
• Take and record vital signs
• Communicate with nurses, physicians, and pharmacies to ensure continuity of care
• Act as a leader and point person during your shift, including responding to emergencies
• Maintain a clean, organized medication room and accurate documentation
• Collaborate closely with caregivers and other team members to support resident well-being

Requirements

• Minimum age 18
• Previous experience in a Med Tech or Med Aide role
• Previous medication administration experience using an EMAR system
• Current CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
• Ability to pass a pre-employment background check and drug screening

Physical Demands

• Ability to stand/walk up to eight hours per day
• Must be able to lift/push up to 50 pounds
• Must be able to lift, stand, bend, squat, crawl, reach, and kneel using good body mechanics for sustained periods of time

Schedule

Full or part-time positions available. Includes taking the staffing phone one week a month for a bonus.
