Medication Safety Officer (Pharmacist) - Sinai Hospital
Job Summary
Supports the design, implementation, and ongoing management of the medication safety program across the health system. Assists in identifying, evaluating, and mitigating medication-related risks through event review, data analysis, and the application of evidence-based practices. Contributes to initiatives aimed at reducing patient harm, improving clinician workflows, and enhancing medication-use safety across care settings. Serves as a medication safety subject matter resource, participates in multidisciplinary committees, and assists with monitoring key performance indicators to ensure alignment with regulatory requirements and national safety standards. Promotes a culture of safety through education, collaboration, and continuous improvement efforts.
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of experience with Medication Safety duties; 7+ years of experience preferred
- PharmB or MScPhm or PharmD
- Pharmacist License - Current Maryland license or eligibility to obtain Maryland license
