Responsibilities

• Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs).
• Escort residents to meals and recreational activities.
• Support residents in achieving their highest level of physical, emotional, and psycho‑social well‑being.
• Help in the Wellness area to ensure safety, comfort, and overall well‑being of residents.
• Follow all policies and procedures and adhere to the instructions of the Nurse Shift Supervisor and the Director of Wellness.

Qualifications

• Experience assisting individuals with Alzheimer’s disease or dementia is a plus.
• Must be able to speak and read in English.
• Previous experience with a geriatric population, providing assistance with ADLs, is preferred.
• Ability to follow instructions and establish personal care routines.
• Basic understanding of dementia; patience and professionalism in redirecting residents.
• Ability to adjust to different personality types and situations in positive ways.
• Reliability, caring demeanor, and gentle touch.
• Maintain an abiding respect for the elderly and remain calm at all times.
• Must have or be willing to obtain a COVID‑19 vaccine, subject to legal accommodations.

Schedule

Part‑time, full‑time, and per‑diem schedules are available for all shifts.
