About the role
As a medication aide, you assist our senior residents in their daily well-being, including personal services, medication assistance, and social-recreational activities. You will report to the wellness director.
Responsibilities
- Complete nursing treatments and monitor residents' vital signs
- Maintain medication/treatment records, comply with regulatory, OSHA, and incident reporting guidelines
- Communicate with physician, pharmacy, and family as indicated to assure medications are received promptly
- Store medications and equipment and keep the medication room clean and orderly
- Follow the resident service plan including; assistance, bathing, grooming, administering medication, and other activities of daily living (ADLs), noting changes in the resident condition
- Demonstrate knowledge of and follow infection control procedures
- Support the dignity, privacy, independence, choice, individuality, and home-like environment for residents
Requirements
- HCA license required
- Typical candidates have six months of experience in senior caregiving or med pass
- Can obtain CPR/BLS certification
- Compose reports in English
Schedule
6 PM - 6 AM / Schedule is 3 on 4 off, then 4 on 3 off. Willing to work weekends. NOC Shift Differential Offered!
