Medication Aide

About the role

We are Regency Puakea, a retirement and assisted living community providing compassionate care in a professionally managed, carefully designed retirement community. Our focus on wellness and enabling residents to remain as independent as possible provides the perfect alternative for seniors who can no longer live on their own.

Responsibilities

• Assist senior residents in their daily well-being, including personal services, medication assistance, and social-recreational activities.
• Report to the wellness director.
• Complete nursing treatments and monitor residents' vital signs.
• Maintain medication/treatment records, comply with regulatory, OSHA, and incident reporting guidelines.
• Communicate with physician, pharmacy, and family as indicated to assure medications are received promptly.
• Store medications and equipment and keep the medication room clean and orderly.
• Follow the resident service plan including; assistance, bathing, grooming, administering medication, and other activities of daily living (ADLs), noting changes in the resident condition.
• Demonstrate knowledge of and follow infection control procedures.
• Support the dignity, privacy, independence, choice, individuality, and home-like environment for residents.

Requirements

• Tenure of six months in senior caregiving or med pass preferred.
• Ability to obtain CPR/BLS certification.

Qualifications

• Ability to work flexible hours, including all shifts available: 10:00 PM - 6:30 AM or 2:00 PM - 10:30 PM.

Skills

• Knowledge of infection control procedures.

Pay

Compensation is commensurate with experience.

Current Shifts Available: 10:00 PM - 6:30 AM or 2:00 PM - 10:30 PM
