About The Role

We’re seeking a Medication Aide/Tech to provide medication management and support Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) for residents in Assisted Living and Memory Care. This position has a starting wage of $25 per hour. In this role, you’ll deliver care in accordance with resident service plans, communicate with medical professionals and families, and ensure residents’ safety and well-being while supporting regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

  • Follow each resident’s service plan in a friendly and supportive manner, including passing medications per physician orders and Medication Administration Records
  • Document completion of daily tasks and observed changes in residents’ conditions
  • Communicate resident needs with other Medication Aides to ensure consistent care
  • Participate in meal service, including serving, clearing, and cleaning the dining room
  • Manage staff under your supervision during working hours
  • Maintain required certifications and attend ongoing training and in-service programs
  • Comply with the Continuous Quality Improvement program and report issues to your supervisor
  • Follow all local, state, and federal rules and regulations, including HIPAA, OSHA, and Blood Borne Pathogen Guidelines
  • Report suspected elder maltreatment or abuse to the Director of Health and Wellness, Executive Director, and/or State
  • Work safely and foster a safe work environment for all employees
  • Support teamwork, take initiative, and maintain a positive impact on residents, visitors, and coworkers
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Minimum one year of experience in a caregiving role or similar function
  • At least six months of supervisory experience in a health-related field
  • Ability to read physician orders and match them to Medication Administration Records
  • Understanding of medical terminology adequate to administer medications and communicate with medical professionals
  • Certifications as required by state (Must have CNA or HCA with Nurse Delegation)
  • Must be 18 years or older and meet all health requirements, including TB clearance
  • First Aid certification required

Pay

$25 per hour (starting wage)
