About the role
The position offers a $5,000 sign-on bonus for full-time Medication Aide, paid in installments over 12 months. The bonus payout schedule is as follows: $1,000 after 30 days of employment, $2,000 at 6 months, and $2,000 at 12 months.
Responsibilities
- Administer medications and treatments in compliance with physician orders and state regulations.
- Measure and document vital signs and weight.
- Maintain accurate medication administration records and documentation.
- Follow medication room systems and safety procedures per policy.
- Cooky with home health, hospice, and emergency services protocols as needed.
- Supervise resident care team members to ensure completion of assigned duties when acting as shift lead.
Qualifications & Skills
- State-required Medication Technician (RMA/Med Tech) training and certification, where applicable.
- Dependable with strong attendance and punctuality.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to make sound decisions and remain calm in stressful situations.
- Genuine compassion for older adults and concern for their physical and emotional well-being.
