Medicare Account Representative, Patient Financial Services, Full Time, Day

Position Summary

To review the accuracy of information/data/reports (e.g., accounts receivable trial balance reports, allowances posted, etc.) for billing and follow-up on all Medicare insurance claims and ensures prompt and accurate reimbursement.

About the role

The position requires excellent organizational and communication skills, proficiency in software applications including GroupWise, Microsoft Word, Excel, and ability to pay attention to details, often changing from one task to another without loss of efficiency or composure.

Responsibilities

• Review and verify the accuracy of billing information and data
• Follow up on all Medicare insurance claims to ensure prompt and accurate reimbursement
• Work cooperatively within a team environment
• Communicate effectively with customers to meet their needs
• Set priorities and respond quickly to customer needs

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Previous electronic billing experience preferred
• Medicare experience a plus
