Medical Writer

Client & Team Interactions

• Create high quality content and execute exceptional research to support internal and external projects through literature reviews and searches
• Write reports and summaries from notes
• Check references and create reference packs
• With direction, build scientific deliverables (e.g., presentations, client reports, manuscripts, posters, and abstracts)
• Support strategic evaluation and recommendations
• Maintain medical, legal, and regulatory project aspects
• Develop relationships with advisors through collaboration on publications, advisory board meetings, and speaker training initiatives
• Present and discuss content to internal teams and external clients
• Maintain client relationships in continued engagement with Petauri Advance
• Ensure client direction has been followed, and additional recommendations have been provided

Business Development

• Conduct research for pitches and/or proposals
• Assist in identifying opportunities for organic growth
• Collaborate with Client Services/Account Management regularly to discuss tactical brand needs and future planning

Staffing

• Assist with interviews and provide feedback on potential hires
• Train new team members on specific tasks and assist in addressing challenges within the MSS team
• Help support and integrate new members of Petauri Advance as needed

Company

• Ensure company culture, policies, and standards of performance are met
• Communicate and maintain trust relationships with team members and clients
• Represent the company in ways that strengthen its profile
• Analyze problematic situations and occurrences and provide solutions

Requirements

Competencies

• General understanding of the applicable disease states
• Excellent quantitative and analytical skills and ability to synthesize complex or diverse information in order to communicate effectively in oral/written form
• Strong attention to detail

• Able to take initiative, communicate clearly to the intended audience and work collaboratively in a dynamic, virtual environment, including both virtual and live meetings
• Able to work calmly under high pressure and prioritize effectively in a rapidly changing environment
• Able to communicate changes in a timely manner to the appropriate team(s) (e.g., changes in deadlines, timelines, client requests, etc.)
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Highly proficient with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), Adobe Acrobat preferred
• Strong problem-solving conflict resolution skills in demanding situations
• Proactively takes accountability for work

Education & Experience

Experience in medical research, medical education, pharmaceutical writing, or medical writing. An advanced science or clinical degree (e.g., PhD, MBBS, MD, PharmD, RN, RPh) or a lesser degree with significant relevant experience is required.
