Medical Transport Specialist

About the role

The Medical Transport Specialist at CoxHealth South is responsible for providing and facilitating non-emergency patient transportation. This position requires transporting patients from the pickup location to their destination in a timely manner.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a clean vehicle and work space.
• Provide kind and safe transportation.

Requirements

• Required: High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• No previous experience required.

Skills

• Calmly and efficiently perform and make appropriate decisions rapidly under stress in emergency situations.
• Ability to work outdoors.
• Ability to follow instructions.
• Is familiar with age specific needs for the patient population served.
• Must be 21 years of age.

Licensure/Certification/Registration

• Required: For-hire driver’s license (Class E) or greater (CDL).
• Driving record will be reviewed upon hire, and any previous violations must be approved.
• PREFERRED: Current Missouri licensure as E.M.T.
