Medical Toxicologist TDH Poison Center (Per Diem < 20 hours/week)

Taking Call

Takes call as medical back-up for the Southeast Texas Poison Center and the Texas Poison Center Network.

Consultation and Guidance

• Maintains awareness of active cases being managed by the poison center.
• Provides telephone consultation for physicians and bedside healthcare teams.
• Provides cases management guidance and oversight to Specialist in Poison Information.

Rounds and Education

• Participation in rounds and daily educational activities as directed by the Medical Director.

Additional Duties

• Additional duties as assigned by the Medical Director.

Work Schedule

This per diem position is for less than 20 hours per week and is not benefit-eligible. While this is a remote position, UTMB requires that remote workers live in the United States and be eligible to work in this country. Remote work eligibility for those living outside the state of Texas is decided on a case-by-case basis.
