Medical Technologist PRN
PRN Job Summary
Performs testing in a timely manner. Demonstrates the ability to set priorities. Completes work assigned during shift, and leaves minimal amount for next shift. Maintains standards in ER, timed, and STAT testing. Responds to changes in work as necessary; continually uses time to departmental advantage.
Writes legibly and accurately, with complete documentation. Documents quality control procedures performed. Organizes the work area to provide a neat appearance. Cleans up work space at the end of shift.
Fulfills other duties as assigned by the medical and technical director. Puts the needs of others first. Performs competency and proficiency challenges in a timely and acceptable manner. Reviews work of others done in the department.
Qualifications
- Education: Graduate of an approved Medical Technology School or Allied Health (4 year program)MT (ASCP), or equivalent/eligible.
- Experience: Two years laboratory experience.
- Computer Skills required.
