About the role
The Medical Technologist is an excellent technical opportunity at MultiCare, responsible for performing patient analytic laboratory testing, quality control, data analysis, results reporting, instrument maintenance, and technical problem resolution. This position requires a service-committed individual who is detail-oriented and can perform complex data analysis, exercise sound, independent judgment, and demonstrate critical thinking skills.
Responsibilities
- Receive specimens and establish and maintain positive identification of specimens
- Determine suitability of specimen
- Acquire and prepare reagents as needed
- Perform instrument maintenance and calibration
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology or Sciences (required)
- Master’s degree in Medical Technology (preferred)
- Certification for Medical Technologist: MLS (ASCP), MT (ASCP), AMT, or MT (AAB)
- Specialist Certification in discipline (preferred): Specialist Hematology (SH ASCP), Microbiology (SM ASCP), Specialist Blood Banking (SBB ASCP), or Tech Chemistry (SC ASCP)

Pay
The pay scale is $39.14 - $62.07 USD per hour. Pay is influenced by factors specific to applicants, including but not limited to: skill set, level of experience, and certification(s) and/or education. If this position is associated with a union contract, pay will reflect the appropriate step on the pay scale to which the applicant’s years of experience align.
Schedule
Full-time (1.0 FTE), evening shift: Tuesday–Saturday, 3:00 PM–11:30 PM.
