The Medical Lab Scientist or MLT, Night Shift position offers a sign-on bonus up to $10,000 for qualified candidates.

Position Purpose

The Medical Technologist performs phlebotomy and laboratory testing, ensuring accuracy and rapid reporting of results. They monitor and understand instrumentation operations, report findings, and maintain quality assurance standards. This role works 3, 12-hour night shifts and 8-hour shifts every other week, alternating weekends.

What You'll Do

  • Performs all clinical testing in assigned departments.
  • Records and reports test results accurately and promptly.
  • Performs and interprets quality control testing according to established guidelines.
  • Maintains a high level of quality assurance.
  • P Practices established safety procedures, including Universal Precautions and proper use of safety equipment.
  • Able to recognize problems and follow prescribed strategies, making necessary corrections.
  • In absence of supervisor/manager, makes final decisions.
  • Collaborates and evaluates new reagents, procedures, and equipment as requested by supervisor/manager.
  • Performs routine and specialized maintenance of laboratory equipment.

What We're Looking For

  • Education: Baccalaureate Degree in Medical Technology or related field, or Associates Degree in MLT.
  • Licensure / Certification: Certification from American Society of Clinical Pathologists, equivalent; eligibility for certification. Must maintain active certification.
  • Experience: Preferred, but not required. Effective communication skills.
