Medical Technologist Lead- Blood Bank $5,000 SIGN ON BONUS

About the role

The Blood Bank Medical Technologist Lead serves as the technical and operational lead for the blood bank, providing expert oversight of transfusion services and complex testing. This role supports regulatory compliance, ensures quality and safety standards, and serves as a resource to laboratory staff and leadership. The Lead functions at a Medical Technologist III level and requires advanced blood bank expertise, certification, and demonstrated leadership experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical and operational leadership for the blood bank
• Oversee transfusion services and complex testing
• Ensure regulatory compliance and maintain quality and safety standards
• Serve as a resource to laboratory staff and leadership
• Operate and maintain standard laboratory equipment
• Perform phlebotomy procedures

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a chemical, biological, or clinical or medical laboratory science, or medical technology from an accredited institution
• At least four years of laboratory experience in high complexity Blood Bank testing
• Current certification as medical technologist/medical laboratory scientist or categorical MT/MLS certification through the American Society for Clinical Pathology or equivalent
• Basic computer knowledge
