Medical Technologist I

Piper Companies is seeking a Medical Technologist I to join a CRO located in Gaithersburg, MD. Responsibilities of the Medical Technologist I include: Perform clinical pathology testing including clinical chemistry, hematology, coagulation, and urinalysis Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot laboratory instrumentation used for biological sample analysis Review laboratory data for accuracy and document results in compliance with GLP, SOP, and study requirements Perform manual testing procedures including blood smear reviews, manual reticulocyte counts, and urine microscopic examinations Qualifications for the Medical Technologist I include: Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology, Clinical Laboratory Science, Biology, Animal Science, Veterinary Technology, or a related scientific field Experience performing sample analysis in clinical chemistry, hematology, coagulation, and/or urinalysis Experience performing blood smear evaluations, urinalysis, and operating laboratory instrumentation Compensation for the Medical Technologist I includes: Rate Range: $55,000-$70,000 annually depending on certification and experience Comprehensive Benefit Package: Cigna Medical/Dental/Vision, 401K, Sick Leave as Required by Law This job is open for applications on October 13th, 2026.
