About the role

Lakewood Ranch Medical Center (LWRMC) is an award-winning, high-quality, acute-care hospital accredited by The Joint Commission. It serves the people of Lakewood Ranch and surrounding areas through emergency services, freestanding emergency department, general and robotic surgery, maternity care, breast health, cardiology, orthopedic surgery, stroke, sleep medicine, urology and wound care.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the mission of Lakewood Ranch Medical Center by performing accurate and timely testing in areas for which the employee is licensed by the State of Florida, Agency for Healthcare Administration, Board of Clinical Laboratory Personnel.
  • Communicate and interact effectively with patients, colleagues, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Use basic computer skills and maintain customer service standards.
  • Demonstrate Service Excellence at all times.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology, preferred or associate level technologist.
  • At least one year as a currently active Medical Technologist, preferred.
  • Recent graduates and licensed applicants may be considered in lieu of experience.
  • Florida State licensure as a Medical Technologist under the provisions of Chapter 483.
  • Licensure in the specialties of Hematology, Clinical Chemistry, and Immunohematology.
  • Serology and Microbiology a plus.
  • ASCP certification, preferred.

Qualifications
